Random Japan Facts!

I'm bored, and apparently I'm going to get kicked off of the laptop pretty soon. So I'm going to make a post about Japan.
  1. Their government is parliamentary with constitutional monarchy.
  2. The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is 4.34 trillion. I forget what that means.
  3. The capital of Japan is Tokyo. Duh.
  4. The population is 127,078,679
  5. The GDP per capita is 33,800
  6. Japan's currency is Yen.
  7. The average life expectancy is 82, male being 78.8 and female being 85.6.
  8. Japan has an enviromental issue (The issue is acid rain because they are the largest consumer of Amazon rainforest timber)
  9. Japanese uses four different writing systems; Kanji (Chinese characters), Hiragana (phonetic alphabet for native words), Katakana (phonetic alphabet for foreign words), and Romaji (western alphabet used to write Japanese).
  10. Japanese vocabulary has been strongly influenced by loanwords from other languages, with most loanwords coming from Chinese and English.
Well now I'm bored. And probably needs to give Blake the computer. So there. You are now educated on Japan because I'm a freak about Japan. Heh.
